A review on Food Geekery says it's definitely worth $5. As someone who has been lusting after the jibarito sandwich, made with fried plantains instead of bread, I'm hardly one to judge. Would you eat the double down, or at least take a bite?

KFC is testing a new offering called the double down sandwich, which shuns a bun for two patties of fried chicken, filled with bacon and cheese. Apparently it is being test-marketed in Rhode Island and Nebraska.

This looks divinely decadent. It is sure to taste great, but what about the guilt? Not to mention the pounds.

I would definitely eat one. However, I would have to sneek it away from the gaze of my soon-to-be wife, as she frowns upon my meatatarian habits.
Also, I would love to try one of those bacon cheeseburgers made with the krispy kreme hot-nows as a bun. Again, same scenario as above would apply.

I wouldn't eat the KFC sandwich, being a vegetarian. But I think the idea is swell. And I *definitely* want to eat a sandwich made with fried plantains instead of bread! That sounds yum-my!
